The clinic is equipped with superior technology that ensures best results in a seamless way. The latest means are adopted- From high resolution 3 D imaging devices for on-point diagnoses to high-tech products for improved safety and consistency during surgeries.

The Heildelberg Spectralis Optical Coherence Tomograph, with special module for glaucoma and anterior segment, is a non-contact imaging technique which generates cross-sectional images of tissue with high resolution. Since OCT is completely non-invasive, it provides in vivo images without impacting the tissue that is imaged.

Among specialized treatments the YAG – SLT Nidek laser is very sought after for glaucoma treatment, intraocular lens cleaning and iridotomies. With a sharper field of view, the results are precise and in most cases the procedure barely takes a few minutes.

Primary Treatments

Refractive eye surgery is any eye surgery used to improve the refractive state of the eye and decrease or eliminate reliance on contact lenses and glasses. It can reduce or permanently correct short-sightedness (myopia), long-sightedness (hyperopia) and astigmatism.
The current refractive procedures are classified as Corneal procedures and Lens based surgery.

Two recent presbyopia-correcting intraocular lens technologies, trifocals and extended-depth-of-focus (EDOF) lenses, aim at increasing the range of vision without compromising vision quality. In particular, both trifocals and EDOFs offer excellent vision at the intermediate range.
Some activities that benefit from good intermediate vision include looking at a computer, driving, reading close up.

In patients with coexisting cataract and glaucoma, surgical treatment requires special considerations. There are several treatment options and variables to consider before deciding on the best surgical glaucoma procedure to perform at the time of cataract surgery. Cataract surgery may be combined with one of several glaucoma surgeries including trabeculectomy, glaucoma drainage devices, endocyclophotocoagulation, a microshunt and the spectrum of micro-invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS). A detailed personalized discussion with the doctor can help determine the best option for you.
